Mevlana University in Konya is a private, non-profit university, and was founded in 2009 by the Gevher Sultan Education, Research, Culture, and Health Foundation. It takes its name from Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, a world renowned Sufi poet, and mystic, who spent almost 50 years in Konya during medieval times.
The university is home to six faculties, a college, a vocational school, three institutes, and two centres. Students can Study a variety of subjects including Engineering, Education, Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Management.
The university’s predominant languages of teaching are Turkish and English, and it has a large international student population with forty countries represented.
